How Staking Works
KUPR Token Staking lets you lock your KUPR tokens in a smart contract on ByteChain to earn daily PTS (points) rewards. The longer you stake and the higher your membership tier, the better your daily reward rate.
Staking is fully on-chain: your tokens are locked in the KUPRStaking smart contract, and you can unstake at any time (with possible early withdrawal penalties).
Staking Tiers

Higher Pro membership tiers unlock better reward rates, higher stake limits, and lower penalties. This creates an incentive to upgrade your membership for maximum staking returns.
How to Stake
- Go to /web3wallet and connect your MetaMask wallet
- Navigate to the Staking section
- Enter the amount of KUPR you want to stake
- Click Stake — MetaMask will ask you to approve KUPR spending first
- Confirm the stake transaction
- Your rewards start accumulating immediately
Claiming Rewards
PTS rewards are calculated daily and can be claimed at any time. The reward formula is:
Daily Reward = Staked KUPR x Tier Rate
Example: Staking 1,000 KUPR at Pro 2 tier = 1,000 x 1.2 = 1,200 PTS/day
Rewards are processed by a daily cron job and credited to your KUPR account balance as PTS.
Unstaking & Penalties
You can unstake your KUPR at any time, but withdrawing before the minimum lock period incurs a penalty:
- Free tier: 20% penalty if unstaked before 7 days
- Pro 1: 15% penalty if unstaked before 7 days
- Pro 2: 10% penalty if unstaked before 3 days
- Pro 3-4: 5% penalty if unstaked before 1 day
The penalty is deducted from your staked KUPR amount. After the minimum lock period, you can unstake with zero penalty.
Global Daily Cap
To prevent inflation, there is a global daily cap of 50,000 PTS distributed across all stakers. If total staking rewards exceed the cap, each staker receives a proportionally reduced amount. This ensures the PTS economy remains sustainable.
Top Up
You can add more KUPR to an existing stake without resetting the lock timer. Go to your staking dashboard and click Top Up to increase your staked amount and boost your daily rewards.
