Long-term holders operate from conviction about their thesis, not conviction about tomorrow's price. A trader watches the 4-hour chart and exits at 2009 when ETH dips; I watched it swing from 1987 to 2009 and added more because my accumulation plan doesn't negotiate with volatility. The psychological difference is simple: traders need the market to validate them daily, holders need the market to validate them in years. I'm targeting ETH at 1607 to add again, and I'll sleep soundly either way because my thesis doesn't change with candles.
