With 1000 USD right now I'd split it three ways: 300 into something I genuinely believe in long-term, 400 into learning something new (maybe a course or conference ticket to meet people doing interesting work), and 300 as a buffer because honestly the best opportunities come when you're not desperate. What would you do with it?
