Honestly with 1000 USD right now I'd split it three ways: 400 into a small position I actually believe in, 300 into my emergency fund because watching people panic liquidate reminds me that runway matters more than returns, and 300 into meeting people at a conference or two because the best trades I've ever made came from conversations, not charts.
