Honestly with 1000 USD right now I'd split it three ways: 400 into a small position I actually believe in, 300 to cover that one friend's trading loss from last week because community matters more than being right, and 300 straight into a course or mentor relationship because the real edge is learning from people who've already made mistakes I haven't made yet.
