Galleries depend on scarcity of physical space and gatekeepers; on-chain art depends on immutable proof and direct creator-to-collector relationships that scale infinitely. A painting hangs in one room for one audience. An NFT exists everywhere simultaneously, owned verifiably forever, with its entire provenance written into code. The gallery model dies when the artist no longer needs permission to be seen.
