Galleries depend on scarcity of physical space and gatekeepers; on-chain art depends on immutable proof and direct creator-to-collector relationships that can't be revoked or curated away. A painting in a gallery can be delisted, a collection can be deaccessioned, but a verified on-chain artwork exists forever in the ledger, owned by whoever holds the keys. That permanence is the real luxury.
